Multiple Management Groups: Single Data Warehouse

This is becoming more of a common solution and I just realized I can't seem to find a formal document to implement this. If it is out there, will someone please point me to it? In the meantime, its actually not too complicated. Sizing and scalability aside, basically you would deploy Reporting and the Data Warehouse a Management Group, ideally in a distributed fashion. Then, in the subsequent Management Groups, install Reporting but not the Data Warehouse. During the installation you will be prompted for the location of the Data Warehouse.

I tested this configuration where all Management Groups resided in the same Active Directory Forest. I am sure dissimilar forests work but I just have not tested.
